RexVickyn

In our apartment house situated in Örby, Stockholm the owner had two sons.
They where older than me and compleatly nuts on thier vehicles.
Svempa was old enoght to have a SAAB race car he worked on outside on the parking space. 3 cylinder version. Racedays on Skarpnäck we first visit with our bicycles. I was around 10-11 years old.

Axel was the other brother a couple of years older than me. He had a couple of super fast mopeds and a silver arrow motocross. He also helped other kids with mote performans on their mopeds. We spent a lot of time with him riding the offroad track he built in the forest next to Älvsjöbadet.

My eyes and ears was wide open whatever technical stuff they was doing.

After a short experience with two old
pedal and belt mopeds we found in a shed I bought my first moped for 150 SEK.
It was a Rex with a MS 51 Victoria 49cc engine. A dream engine as the cylinder had a huge rectangular intake compered to the carburetor.
One hour later is was down in my shed for some design changes.
The model was a Sportmaster with a lot of metal covers.

A couple of days later it was a clean frame, tank and a saddle. A Rocket handle bar and some thin chrome fenders.

The cylinder head was grinded on the cement floor. A round file enlarged the gas outlet and channels to maximum. The piston head got a v- formed jack and sides adjusted to the channels. The pedals got to the trash with all metal leftovers.
New peg bar with brake pedal was made in school together with a new intake tube in copper for a bigger carburetor with adjustable jets. An empty silencer and it was done.

Worked perfectly and fast from day one..
